Rather than treating demolition as the default path to modernisation, the region’s Bouwmeester/Maître Architecte (BMA), together with regional heritage and planning institutions, is now recognising this “young heritage” as part of Brussels’ cultural legacy.
As part of its climate efforts, Munich is committed to becoming climate-neutral by 2035 and is involved in the EU Mission ‘100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030’. The city has initiated numerous projects, including within cultural institutions focused on reducing the sector’s carbon footprint.
After signing of the Call to Action, the City of Lille identified 51 commitments to promote the transformation of professional practices in the cultural sector.
