7 new cities signed the Eurocities Lille Call to Action!

We’re celebrating seven new signatories to the Eurocities Lille Call to Action for Sustainable Culture. The signing took place during the Political track session of the Culture Forum in Gothenburg on 1st October 2026.

Dublin, Gothenburg, Leeuwarden, Lisbon, Maia, Milan and Umeå have officially committed to a greener and more inclusive cultural sector. With them, the total number of signatory cities is now 69!

The Call to Action was launched in 2023, and year by year, the number of cities committed to sustainable culture has kept growing. Over the past year, 10 more cities have signed the political commitment. 

At Eurocities, we warmly welcome their commitment and look forward to seeing how the Call to Action is put into practice in each city. 

To celebrate the work that signatory cities are doing for a more sustainable and inclusive culture, we are running a communications campaign on LinkedIn that gives visibility to the cities’ good practices.
